About Me

Hello and welcome to my author's website! I'm Dorothy Russell, retired and first-time author residing in San Diego. I bring over twenty years of experience in public education to my writing. I once thrived in a world saturated with love from my family, friends, and my husband who encompassed my existence. With the death of my husband, my world was shattered, leaving me to navigate the realm of widowhood. Yet, through my journey of self-exploration, my intuitive nature and empowering presence, I have become a guiding light of inspiration for others. I consider it a beautiful calling with my ability to listen and give from the heart.

I offer a voice from a person that has gone through a loss of a loved one and hope by sharing my journey, it will be a help to others. My inspiration for writing this book was self-motivating. The story of my journey may have different details than yours, but the essence of our emotions is the same, and it was the catalyst for finding myself and coming to terms with acceptance during my grieving process.
